HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!

So this was our first Christmas married. Precious. It was neat. We both had to work Christmas Eve night, sucked for me, rocked for Mike. He always does well @ the little ranch. Then my uncle Alex & Aunt Alicia had us over for some good ol' fashion Argentine food. Nothing better then that! It was wonderful. Empanadas....mmm mmm mmm mmmm! We slept @ the Liechty's @ opened our Christmas eve gift.....pajama's I got 2 sets, one from Mum & Dad & one from in-law Mum & Dad. Then I tried my hardest to sleep & the anticipation was too much, I couldn't sleep. ( actually it was the wind.) Then right after I fell asleep, or so it seems, I get woken up to come open presents! It was 7am. I don't think I've gotten up @ 7am to open presents for like 10 years! Literally. All in all Mike & I got some pretty good loot. A brilliant memory foam mattress topper, some Harry Potter books, tons of movies/ tv series a new ipod...red, to support the fight of HIV/AIDS, accessories for the Nano, & other wonderful things! Jack had a stocking too... he was WAY excited!

So was Mike
Ok...well he was sick. But we did have a lot of fun with Mike's family!
Then that night Mike's family has a Puerto Rican dinner! This was my first experience with Puerto Rican food & let me tell you it is a delight! It was some of the best food I've ever had! Mike's grandparents cooked it. I can't wait for next year!

YUM!

I love Thanksgiving! I love eating & being with my family! & this year I got to both! it was great! We drove down to Cali & ate with me pop's side of the fam....the DANIEL'S, then went to me mum's side....the GUERRERO'S for more food! Not that I could eat anymore.....First Stop, Pacific Golf & Country Club. This place is the kind of place where you go to the bathroom & they have everything you would need to touch up: lotion, hairspray, deodorant, mouthwash....you name it! They had all you would ever want for food as well! The BEST Turkey I've ever had! It just fell apart! Oh man...

It was fun, there were so many snooty people! We all had a good laugh! I love my family! & miss them too!

Now on to the GUERRERO'S! We went to eat @ My Aunt Lisa & Uncle Mike's house. good ol' home cooking! Not that I was that hungry! But it was good to see the fam! Plus it was little Lucas' birthday! A very Happy Thanksgiving it was! It was nice to be warm in the California sun & to see my family I rarely get to see! I miss home.........

I'm It....

So I guess in this little fun game of 'TAG' you get to find out quite a few random things about me! Oh...& if you are it, you have to do the same. 6 things to be exact! Things we wouldn't know about each other. Here it goes....


1. I used to be a model.



Yup...Cheerios, Oscar Mayer, L.A. Gear...I did a commercial for L.A. Gear actually. It was in Spanish so that may be why you don't remember me.


2. I had a tumor the size of a Volleyball.





I know...CRAZY! But when I was 21 I found out I had a Fibroid Tumor on my uterus. It grew to be the size of a volleyball by the time they had removed the darn thing! I looked to be 3-4 months pregnant. It was a very painful procedure. I have a scar that's at least 5 inches long. Not to mention all the scar tissue I have from them cutting my muscle from the inside. Oh & I have to have C-sections or I will die giving birth. I guess that's a good thing for y'all to know just incase you are with me & I go into pre-mature labor.


3. I play the Conga Drums.





Guster. On of my all time favorite bands. Back in High School I found out about Guster, and have been a fan ever since. In that band, Brian, plays the Congas, bongos, snare drum, & any other drum using his hands only. Well just on the CD 'Lost & Gone Forever.' But he was my inspiration, so I bought a set of Congas & learned. I got to meet Guster & Brian & I shared stories on the bands HUGE tour bus of how badly our hands would hurt. It was a dream come true.


4. I am OBSESSED with scrapbooking!

I LOVE it! I don't know how I got so into it but I am. My awesome husband even let me turn our spare room into a scrapbook room! Scrapbooking gets kinda pricy so I have to be careful! But it's really fun & I guess it's a good hobby for me. I think I'm pretty good. Come by sometime & I'll show you!


5. I LOVE Anime!





I thought I would NEVER EVER see an Anime movie. But again, just like Harry Potter, Mike's brother's talked me into watching them....& as soon as I did, I fell in LOVE! Some of my favorites are: Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Howls Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service. Some are not for the kids, but some are! I urge you to try these out! It's crazy how good they are! And there are so many famous actors & actresses that'll do the voices! Really...check them out!


6. My life long dream is to go to so many different places in the world!


Egypt....to see the pyramids

India...to see the Taj Mahal

Tibet...to see Mt Everest
I always wanted to climb it. I don't think I ever will.

All over Europe! Italy, to see where my family is from, London cause I love the British, Spice Girls & Harry Potter! France, to see all the art & the Eiffel Tower, then the rest because it all looks SO beautiful!
Argentina...to see where my mom was born.

So now TAG....YOU ARE IT! Arr har har har!

I wish I could go to Hogwarts!

As some of you know I've been reading the Harry Potter series. Needless to say I am OBSESSED!!! They are so good & I can't wait to finish them! I'm on the second to last book, Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince, & I just can't put it down. I've already found out some things about the books that I wished I wouldn't have. I was reading in 'Time' about Dumbledore & how he's "gay". Lame...I was just reading along & all of the sudden I read what happens to one of the characters. Stupid 'Time'! I was so mad! Then the very NEXT day I'm working & this little patient starts blabbing about what happens in the last book! I couldn't believe it! I got my stuff & ran out to lunch wishing & hoping to forget what that little prat had said! Anyway, my friend Kim La Cognata & I decided to read them @ the same time. Then once we finished the book we would go & watch the movies. The last movie, "Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix" we watch in 3D!
Yes...it was very exciting! I think it may have been my favorite movie yet. Of the books I just can not decide. They are all SO good. So I think you all should go read them...if you haven't already. They movies just don't do them justice!

We got our iMAC!!!!

This is me from my new computers point of view! Yeah....I'm pretty stoked about our very early, only Christmas present! (As I'm sure you can tell!) Very Merry Christmas indeed! Oh & did I mention that it's so nice to type on keys that are actually there!! Oh I'm in LOVE!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

So Halloween night Mike had to work so I was alone to try & fend off the tricks & treats. I had one....yes 1 trick-or-treater & it was Averi, (my friends daughter). It was not as hard as I thought it would be. So I left with them & went to our wards Trunk-or-Treat. I couldn't believe how much candy she got from walking around the parking lot. Back in my day we would have had to walk at least 2 miles to get all that good stuff. Next thing we know kids will be trick-or-treating over the internet & we'll have to give them money from our Paypal accounts so they can go buy the candy they want. Kids these days. Anyway...the Saturday before Halloween we went to Mike's parents ward's Halloween Carnival. I was a cowgirl (very creative). Mike, of course, was @ work & I was watching his cousin Victoria. So my good friend Kim let Tori borrow her daughters ballet costume. She looked pretty cute. We went with the La Cognata's and had some good clean fun. I felt like a mom. It was really good birth control for me. Oh & Jack was Toto cause Averi was Dorothy!
